Merry Christmas
A day early perhaps. It's 21 degrees Celsius below freezing outside and still an endless supply of water flows freely whenever I turn on any tap within the house. For some reason that struck me tonight; I don't often marvel at
running water. We take a lot for granted, assuming that because it has always been that it always will. I feel particularly blessed this Christmas as I sit at a computer in my warm house, full of loving family and wanting for
absolutely nothing at all. I am reminded of First Corinthians 4:7 which talks about humility: "For who makes you different from anyone else? What do you have that you did not receive? And if you did receive it, why do you
boast as though you did not?" When I consider all that I have been given, the only appropriate response is humility and gratitude.
Merry Christmas dear reader. I hope that whoever and wherever you are, you are blessed this Christmas and may take the time to be grateful for all that you have received.
